Installation at Whole Foods Market in Old Town Alexandria, 2012

In a world where most of the food that we eat comes from outside the home, people don’t normally think of the folks who are working hard to make our breakfast, lunch or dinner possible.

This site specific work includes black and white collaged photos of most of the chefs and other workers in the back of the kitchen at Whole Foods Market in Old Town Alexandria. It’s a series of collages on the undersides of the nine large tables in the Café area in Whole Foods Market in Old Town. This piece is meant to be a reflection of the fact that even though we don’t see the people who prepare our food, they’re still there.
